Students at American University in Washington D.C. and students at Bayan College, Muscat are organising a Cross Cultural Communication, this will be done online through facebook, emails, instant messaging and also through Digital Video Conferencing (DVC). For this we have chosen 11 students from both the sides each who have been assigned one partner from the opposite sides for the project. they will be talking on a range of subjects such as Music, Movies, Family/ Individual Life, Time Management and other topics closely related to Culture. this will let them gain a good experience of each other's culture and give an insight into it. the students will gain a first hand experience when dealing with their partners which will enrich their knowledge and claer stereotypes of each others cultures, if any. This is an initiative from both the sides and one which will prove fruitful for studnets on both sides. It will be coordinated by two people, one of them is me, Deeba Hasan, a student at Bayan College and Prof. Alexandra Parrs from American University at Washington D.C. Some of the views from students on both the sides wll be posted here as the project progresses.
